1911 Swan Eyedropper Fountain Pen 2

A 1911 Swan No 2 eyedropper fountain pen with a screw on safety cap. Mabie Todd and Co. Ltd introduced their safety screw on cap model in 1911. The design engraved in outline of the Swan seen clearly on the barrel, is the 1911 style Swan trade mark. Housed in its original presentation box with the ink filling glass pipette. Mabie Todd and Co. commenced production in Britain in 1907 although at that time the nibs were still being made in New York. The authentic medium point size number 2 Mabie Todd and Co Ltd NY gold nib which has the 1899 spoon feed, is virtually as new. The chased patterning on the cap and barrel also is as new. The pens overall length is 13.3 centimetres with the cap in place. A pen some ninety five years old, yet in absolutely pristine condition. A rare eyedropper fountain pen.
