Description

Parker vacumatic junior fountain pen made in Canada circa 1935. The ink filling vacumatic pump is the earlier type of filling mechanism installed between 1933 to 1936 having the lockdown button (seen extended out in the accompanying picture).
The Parker Pen Company launched their first Vacumatic models in 1933. The gold plating on the Parker arrow pocket clip, trim bands and end of barrel tassie blanking cap is in excellent condition. General wear signs, some light shallow scratch marks as might be expected are apparent on the barrel and cap, the black plastic blanking peaked tassie inset into the top of the cap above the clip appears as if oversized.
The Parker 14k gold Vacumatic nib has the engraved Arrow symbol denoting a top quality broad point nib in superb condition. A new replacement rubber sac has been fitted to the vacuum pump. With the cap screwed on, the pens overall length is 12.2 centimetres. The last two digits of year made are engraved on the barrel.
