A tribute to the late Elizabeth Taylor
Posted by MIke on 7/16/2011 to Miscellaneous
A lettercard with the original envelope handwritten by Elizabeth and posted from her address at Kinnerton Street London SW1.
Post stamp marked London June 21st 1982. Sent from one Lady to another, what is written by Elizabeth Taylor is respected as private.
Just a few lines about their subject under discussion, written in an informal and familiar manner just like one acquaintance might drop a few lines to another.
Apparently, Elizabeth very seldom wrote any letters, those that she did tended to be briefly comprised of little more than a few lines. Here she wrote some seven lines in the form of a personal note relating to the confidential topic of discussion between them. An extract from this letter reads "God has been good to me" !
Reading these few lines written by this World famous Lady is more than enough to deduce that she was not only beautiful, indeed more so, she was a kind natured and caring Lady.
The lettercard also contained her photograph, shown here.
