Fountain pens are a testament to the dexterity of handwriting the way it used to be. Much more than just a writing instrument many models are beautiful, craftsman made exquisite and classic pieces. Foremost those of my own generation, and almost anyone of a more youthful age will also agree the virtues of a good quality fountain pen over any other mechanised calligraphic device.
Our Achievement
We are proud to announced that Fountain Pen Emporium has supplied the fountain pens for ' Flag of our Father ', a WW2 movie directed by Clint Eastwood and produced by Steven Spielberg.
How it all started .....
At the outset we had no clear objective in mind other than that of thinning out our rather large collection of various fountain pens which have been steadily accumulating over a good number of years, by selling off a number of selected pens. However, we had greatly underestimated the full international interest scope and popularity of the fountain pen. This realisation served as our prelude to forming 'Fountain Pen Emporium' some five years ago.
Fountain pens now arguably rate as being one of the most highly acclaimed of collectible items. Our objective is to further promote this awareness. We try to include a summary of information gleaned from our research about the fountain pens we are offering, since to some extent each pen has some degree of reminiscences of a time period, a story to tell...
To our delight quite unexpectedly so far along the way we have gained a growing number of friends from far-flung places.
We hope to build Fountain Pen Emporium to be one of the few web sites offering the most diverse range of classic fountain pens on the Internet. Our ultimate dream is to relocate to the Far East and operate Fountain Pen Emporium from Singapore. |
