An early 1950s Chatsworth fountain pen custom made for Boots the Chemist. This superb fountain pen is very similar to the design of the Conway Stewart pens. However this Chatsworth pen named after the Chatsworth Estate in Derbyshire UK would have been made by the Burnham Pen Company.
Earlier models from the 1920s to late 1940s of the Chatsworth were made by the Thomas De La Rue Company Ltd. Ink filling is by side lever method. A new rubber ink sac has been fitted. The 14 carat gold medium point size warranted nib has never been used. The pen is in as new condition. Very attractively patterned in shades of grey pearl with black veins.
An excellent quality fountain pen rare to find with the original presentation box.
