| A Blackbird fountain pen circa 1936 made in black chased patterned hard rubber. Side lever ink filling method. A clipless model on the top of the cap the word Blackbird is engraved in capital letters. The engraved outline of the Blackbird trade mark is prominent on the barrel as also are the engraved words Mabie Todd & Co Ltd.
The 14 carat gold medium point nib is engraved Blackbird and is in very good condition. A new ink sac has been fitted. A pen that is about 67 years old , working well.
These pens are becoming much more difficult to find and are well sought after by pen collectors. |
