| SOLD. Mabie Todd and Company did not introduce the lever filling pens in the United Kingom until 1921. This lever filling Blackbird pen is assumed to be of the mid 1920s pre 1930s period. Made of black hard rubber material. Having a ball end detachable clip.
The 14 carat Blackbird nib has a broad point and is in excellent condition. The manufacturers engraving on the barrel is clear to read, having the outline of a Blackbird in flight. The chased patterning is vague but can be seen. There is some oxidization of the hard rubber which can be further polished off. |
