Blackbird Mabie Todd Fountain Pen

A 1936 Blackbird model BB2 fountain pen made by Mabie Todd and Company Ltd Swan Pens. Manufactured in black celluloid or vulcanite material with a sharply defined chased pattern. Having a chrome plated ball end design pocket clip with the outline emblem of the Blackbird in flight engraved at the clips top. The manufacturer standard wording BLACKBIRD MABIE TODD & Co LTD with the outline of the Blackbird emblem is engraved on the pen barrel. The side lever is nickel plated, being a side lever ink filling model. A new rubber ink sac has been fitted. The 14 carat gold Blackbird medium point size nib is in pristine condition. A good quality and superb fountain pen from the mid 1930s.
