| In Germany fountain pen production was flourishing during the pre War years but inevitably this decreased then halted abruptly at the outbreak of the second World War. In 1946 fountain pen production was restarted but yet again suffered a devastating blow due to the advent of the new biro pens. Renewed interest and revival flourished once more during the late 1960s. Bossert and Erhard are known to use only precious metals for their best range of pens. This late 1960s impressive high quality German made two piece vermeil set is new and unused. Both pens are hallmarked 9.25 solid silver and are finished in quality gold plate. The fountain pens medium point size gold nib is engraved with the Bossert and Erhard emblem. Ink filling is by piston pump converter which can easily be removed to fit an ink cartridge if preferred. |
