Description

A late 1920s Conklin Endura Ladies ribbon ring top fountain pen and twist propel action ring top propelling pencil. This Ladies set is in pristine condition the fountain pen has a superb flexible gold Conklin Toledo nib. Manufactured in black celluloid with mottled shades of bronzed gold leaf.
Conklin new downtown factory at Toledo Ohio commenced production in 1910 their Endura series was introduced in the autumn of 1924 from 1926, the majority of Conklin pens were made in the new celluloid material. The black mottled with gold colouring models were produced from 1929.
The Conklin Company made only the highest quality pens. Following the 1930s depression era the Conklin company ceased production in 1938. Ink filling is by side lever method a new rubber ink sac has been fitted. Spare leads for the propelling pencil are available. A scarce or rare classic set.
