Description
 
A circa 1930 Conway Stewart model 479 The Universal Pen. The 479 being one of the five model types produced by Conway Stewart throughout the years of World War II. Production of this model had ceased by 1949.
Manufactured in black vulcanite hard rubber material and finished with a machine chased patterning. Having a nickel plated ball end pocket clip with the entwined CS emblematic initials engraved at the clips top. Ink filling is by side lever method. A new ink sac has been fitted. The 14 carat gold Conway Stewart broad point size nib is in excellent condition.
