The Daily Sketch Pen probably made by Mabie Todd and Company in about 1907. The Company Swan eyedropper pens are identical in style to this pen, were introduced in 1884 and featured this over under ink feed section held in place by a twisted silver wire. By 1905 Mabie Todd and Bard had opened their newest and larger showrooms in London.
Manufactured in a vulcanite material the company's eyedropper pens were extensively advertised in over 400 different periodicals every week, amongst which no doubt was the then famous Daily Sketch Newspaper who doubtless commissioned Mabie Todd and Company to manufacture the newspapers own exclusive journalists pens.
This Daily Sketch Pen is nearing 100 years of age and is still in pristine condition good even for another 100 years. A connoisseur fountain pen collectors piece.
