The heavy black granite base highlighted with bronze brown colour fissure streaks and lesser pale white veins form this eye pleasing marble effect plinth, holding two aerometric pressure bar ink filling method Parker model 51 fountain pens.
Whilst the year of manufacture of the base unit is not known the Parker pens are date marked 1950.
The special plathenium tip nibs appear to give a choice between pens, one being about a medium size the other being a more finely pointed size, althouugh there is little difference in writing line thickness.
The base plinth unit size measures 7cm. wide by 16.2 cm. in length, with four scollop shape fluted groove pen laying channels.
