| A 1929 rare Empire fountain pen made in Japan. The Empire Special Complete Pen finished with a machine chased pattern of close wavy lines. Some 79 years old yet in as new unused pristine condition.
Having a gold plated fishtail design pocket clip engraved with a small five pointed star and the words Special Complete Pen. The gold plated nib is a warranted fine point size. Ink filling is by side lever method a replacement rubber ink sac has been fitted. Engraved on the end of the barrel is JAPAN.
This pen is primarily a keen enthusiastic pen collectors piece although it is also suitable for everyday use. Seen on page 48 in the Revised 1997 Second Edition book Antique Writing Instruments by Stuart Schneider and George Fischler.
