Model number 1 fountain pen. Manufactured in black celluloid material. The original 14 carat gold Relief Esterbrook oblique nib is slightly hooked at the point in very good condition. Having a nickel plated teardrop pocket clip which is engraved RELIEF in open case letters. The dome topped cap top section has the red rim spacer.
This model has no cap trim bands. Nickel plated side lever ink filling method. A new ink sac has been fitted. The wording engraved in script lettering on the pens barrel R ESTERBROOK CO is not clearly readable due to wear, the engraved wording RELIEF No 1 is clearly decipherable.
A very early Esterbrook pen polish finished to a good sheen. Well over 80 years old. Superb for the enthusiastic fountain pen collector investor.
