Eversharp Skyline fountain pen circa 1943. The Eversharp Pen Company introduced their new range of fountain pen models in the early part of 1941. The Skyline series were a completely new design which also featured a mechanism designed to prevent ink leakage in the event of changes in air pressure. The pen was subjected to tests at levels of high altitude. Having a 14 carat gold filled screw on cap with the so called 'over the top' design of pocket clip, a clip newly designed in 1941. Engraved on the upper part of the clip are the two checkmarks representing a lifelong guarantee. The Eversharp 14 carat gold USA nib has a fine point and is in superb condition. Manufactured in a dark green coloured celluloid material. Ink filling is by side lever, a new ink sac has been fitted. The overall length of the pen when capped is 13 centimetres. These Skyline pens are well liked by fountain pen enthusiasts. |
