| A very rare superb safety model of fountain pen circa 1900 to 1920 period although possibly much earlier, engraved with the manufacturing company name of Talma a company not recorded or known of in England. This unique classic pen is believed to have been made in France.
Manufactured in red ripple sometimes called red wood grain pattern which was a popular and eye catching pattern of the period, achieved by a method of blending red and black ebonite or vulcanite material. The 18 carat gold size 5 warranted medium point nib is in perfect condition, it was standard to fit 18 carat gold nibs in french pens or in pens produced in the U K bound for the market in France.
