A circa 1930 fountain pen. Having the distinctively designed roller clip of the early Italian OMAS pens also a design of pocket clip seen on some lesser number of models from the early Montegrappa pens. Thought to be one of the OMAS prestigious models possibly of the rounded design of the Lucens series from the late 1930s. Named after the company founder Armando Simoni born 1891, the trademark name based on the initials Officina Meccanicha Armando Simoni. The cap has three gold plated trim bands denoting a top of the line model. The fine point size excellent nib is engraved Warranted 14 Carat first Quality this is assumed to be the authentic nib since post war manufacturing of gold nibs was subject to imposed limited restrictions applied on the production of fountain pen nibs in gold, hence companies used the available warranted gold nibs. Ink filling is by end of barrel button method a new rubber ink sac has been fitted. Manufactured in varying shades of silver gray pearl celluloid material with black outline veins.
