The base being silver hallmarked Sheffield 1897 with the beveled edge cut glass silver capped ink wells hallmarked Birmingham 1897. By Mappin and Webb of London an excellent desk stand in perfect condition. 1897 a Jubilee year Queen Victoria's sixtieth year of sovereignty.
