This elegant Cartier fountain pen and propelling pencil set come from the series introduced in the early 1970s. Having the intertwined double mirror image letter C symbol of the Cartier French house embossed on the top of each pens cap with the gold and silver rolling rings emblem seen round the upper part of both pen caps. The Cartier company was founded in 1847 and have been manufacturing a limited range of fountain pens since 1910. The fountain pen has an 18 carat medium point size Cartier nib, ink filling is by ink cartridge method. A prestigious pen set unquestionably of the best quality and in perfect condition. Marlene dietrich is believed to have used her own Cartier fountain pen and helped with the advertising promotion for the Cartier Company during the wartime years.
