Moore Fountain Pen Gray Bronze Maniflex Nib

An exquisite 1938 to early 1940 period pen absolutely in pristine condition. As seen in the image the patterning of vertically running lanes of marbled grey pearl in light and darker shades inset with golden brown or bronzed sections is very attractive. Ink filling is by side lever method. A new ink sac has been fitted. The superb Gold nib is vertically engraved MOORE above LIFE under which is also engraved MANIFLEX, giving a nib with some flexibility further engraved with an arrow design having a medium to fine point and in perfect condition. Founded in 1899 in Boston originally the American Fountain Pen Company, the company name was changed in 1918 to Moore. A top quality fountain pen. Moore had ceased production by the early 1950s. Their last model was produced between 1950 to 1956 which was called The Specialist pen. These pens have progressively become scarce fast becoming very rare.
