| A 1930s Dunhill Namiki fountain pen finished in plain black. The 14 carat gold type 2 size medium point nib is in perfect condition and engraved Namiki made in Japan. Ink filling is by side lever method. The wording Dunhill over London over Made in Japan, is clearly engraved on the pens barrel section.
In 1930 the Dunhill Company reached agreement with the Namiki Company in Japan authorising Dunhill to sell the Namiki fountain pens at the Dunhill shop in Duke Street London, Namiki later adopted the trade name Pilot which was at that time considered as Internationally a more preferable trading name. This agreement was terminated following the declaration of War in 1939. |
