A mid 1940s period National Security fountain pen manufactured in black celluloid material with inlaid patches of agate green marble patterning. Clearly engraved on the pens barrel is the emblem of a Lion and a Pen with the wording NATIONAL SECURITY with Highest Grade English Manufacture. Ink filling is by side lever method. A new rubber ink sac has been fitted, there is some wear of the gold plating on the side lever. The gold plating on the pocket clip and two trim bands is very good. The 14 carat gold warranted nib is a medium broad right oblique iridium tipped nib in very good condition. An attractively patterned fountain pen for everyday use as well as being of interest to enthusiast pen collectors. |
