Nota Bene Stylograph Ink Pen 1898

Thomas De La Rue and Company Ltd manufactured this Nota Bene needle point stylographic ink pen. These early stylographic pens or ink pencils were based on a patent registered in 1884. In the mid 1880s The De La Rue Company manufactured their first of these stylo. Model pens produced in black vulcanite material and finished with a chased pattern of chevrons. Clearly engraved in capital letters on the barrel is The NOTA BENE STYLOGRAPH THOS DE LA RUE & CO LTD. A rare classic model about 125 years old and complete with its original presentation box and paper leaflet giving Directions for use and a full diagram showing the mechanics of the pen.
