Onoto Fountain Pen Chased Barley Pattern

Ink filling is by extracting the end of barrel plunger rod, extracting the plunger rod will expel ink, and ink filling is done by re-inserting the plunger rod filling on the downward stroke. The nib is a superb Dickinson Product 14 carat gold medium point size. When capped the pens overall length is 5 and 1 half inches. There is no wear on the barrel and the engraved manufacturer wording ONOTO THE PEN De La Rue & Co. Ltd. London, is sharp and clear. Some 65 years old yet in excellent condition, overhauled and working as well as when new. The outstanding design and quality of these pens makes them well distinguished. This pen is made from black hard rubber material with a chased barley patterning. Circa 1948.
