The quality 12 carat rolled gold caps having the Custom design patterning of finely engraved lines converging at the top, inset into the caps top is the emblamatic grey plastic silver pearl jewel stone. The pocket clips being the longer length design of arrow clip at 4.2cm. long, the longer clips generally tended to be fitted after 1960. The tip of the nib seen protruding from the forward hood section shows a medium point nib.
In terms of design, mechanical function, reliability and quality the Parker 51 models remain regarded as being the most successful of fountain pens and propelling pencils made. Housed in the original hinged presentation case this superb classic model 51 set is in perfect condition. |
