| Circa 1965 to late 1960s a Parker model 61 fountain pen in solid 9 carat gold finished with a waterdrop pattern, an attractive and scarce pattern to find within the Parker 61 gold presidential series. From the cartouche at the center of the pens barrel section a set of lightly engraved initials has been skilfully removed. The Parker emblem silver grey pearl celluloid jewel stone is inset into the top of the pens cap with another inset into the end of the pens barrel setion. The nib has a medium size point, ink filling is by capillary method. The pocket clip, the cap and the barrel sections are hallmarked 9 carat gold. A rare fountain pen housed in the original Parker cream silk and maroon velvet lined presentation case. |
