| The transatlantic passenger liner R.M.S. Queen Elizabeth. Launched by Her Royal Highness The Queen on September 27th.1938, from stern to bow the liner measured a fifth of a mile. This stupendous ship made her last trans ocean crossing from New York to England in October 1968.
The cruise liner R.M.S Queen Elizabeth was scuttled in 1972 and now rests on the seabed of Hong Kong harbour. This pen is number 2503 from a limited edition total of 5000 Parker model 75 fountain pens made from the brass of the ships bell.
This is indeed acknowledged as a classic fountain pen. Some features of the model 75 include the shaped grip designed to make handwriting more comfortable and less tiring, the 14 carat gold open design nib with a iridium ball tip which makes the pen equally suited for either a left or a right handed person to use.
The nib may be positioned and set, with the accompanying key, at any angle ideally suited to the individual writing requirement. The choice of ink filling methods are flexible: aerometric pressure bar ink cartridge or converter piston filling.
