| In 1933 the Parker pen company decided to devise their own word Vacumatic in preference to the late 1920s originally given name Vacuum filler for the series of their fountain pens incorporating the novel vacuum pump method of ink filling.
This Canadian made speed line filling system vacumatic pen is uniquely manufactured by a process of laminating bands of varied shades of iridescent emerald green pearl between bands of transparent celluloid throughout the main barrel section enabling ink reservoir viewing, and bands of black with green pearl only throughout the cap and the removable end section of the barrel.
The 14 carat gold Parker medium point size nib is new. On the cap the wide single gold plated trim band has some light general wear. A new vacuum pump diaphragm has been fitted. A beautifully patterned quality fountain pen. |
