Firstly introduced in the United States in 1964 the Parker Pen company launched the model 75 to commemorate their 75th anniversary, production of a number of different variations on this model followed these include the Vermeil edition. In 1983 a limited production new range of luxury model 75 pens called the Place Vendome collection were produced. This vermeil fountain pen and ballpoint set produced in brass over electroplated with quality thickness gold and finished in the French grain de orge or barley corn pattern being within the vendome collection series. The forward nib section having a calibrated nib angle setting facility which enables the Parker 14 carat U.S.A. ball point tipped nib to be rotated to any off center preferred writing angle. The ball tip nib makes this fountain pen well suited for left as well as for right handed writers. Ink filling is by aerometric pressure bar method, alternatively an ink converter piston filling device can be fitted. A useful attribute in the design of the pens cap is a plain panel lengthwise down the side of the cap on both pens this provides a space where the pen owners name may be engraved. A superb set in pristine condition. |
