A 1948 MKIV Parker Victory fountain pen in pristine condition. The Parker Victory models were launched in 1945 directly following the end of World War II. This 1948 version the then newly designed mark IV has a tapered pocket clip with the name PARKER engraved on it and features an aluminium button method for ink filling. Restyled with thick quality rolled gold trim bands and clip. The end section of the pen barrel being slightly conical shaped. A new ink sac has been fitted. Manufactured in dark brown cordovan colour celluloid and finish polished to a high sheen. The Parker 14 carat gold medium point size nib, engraved with an N identifying Parker U.K. Newhaven factory, is in as new condition. When capped the pen overall length is just over 5 inches or 13 centimetres. An impressive looking high quality fountain pen, perfectly suited for everyday use also a desirable collectors pen of a type fast becoming scarce to acquire in such excellent condition. |
