1937 to 1940s period. In the early 1930s Messers Hazel Watson and Viney of 160 Shaftsbury Avenue London acquired the sole agency rights for marketing the Relief fountain pens Esterbrook Pen Co. This Relief 12 is a copy of the standard type of Conway Stewart pen of the 1940s.
To an enthusiast collector this model 12 Relief would likely be regarded as a hard to acquire fountain pen. Identical in design to the Conway Stewart pen. The 14 carat gold broad left oblique point nib like the pen itself is in pristine condition. Ink filling is by side lever method a new rubber ink sac has been fitted.
A very scarce and interesting model in excellent condition. Overall length of just over 5 inches when capped.
