A Summit fountain pen in dark navy blue colour probably made shortly after World War II. The Summit pen company had ceased manufacturing fountain pens by about 1947. They made comparatively few mottled or coloured pens most were produced in black. This Summit pen is in dark navy blue with a pattern of closely spaced longitudinal lines. The ball end design pocket clip is engraved Summit, note the tone of gold plating on the pocket clip is of a darker tone than that of the side lever. Ink filling being by side lever a new rubber ink sac has been fitted. The superb 14 carat gold Summit nib is in as new condition a medium point size nib. A very nice fountain pen from the 1940s in overall good condition. |
