Description

A 1930s Swan model 230 fountain pen. Manufactured in black hard rubber material. Having the gold plated 1932 design step ball end pocket clip which has the outline Swan emblem engraved on it, ( some brassing on the high point of the clip ) two gold plated trim bands on the barrel and gold plated side lever, a new ink sac has been fitted. The Mabie Todd & Co Ltd 14 carat gold nib, is a medium point size in good condition. The outline Swan engraved on the pen's barrel is clear and sharp, resembling the 1911 design type of Swan. When capped the overall length is 5 and 1/2 inches or 14 centimetres. A very eye catching well sought after model by enthusiast pen collectors.
