Description
 
A 1911 Swan eyedropper fountain pen. Seen on page 175 of Fountain Pens of the World book by Andreas Lambrou. Engraved on the side of the cap is SWAN No 2 and engraved on the barrel is THE SWAN SAFETY SCREW CAP. The first eyedropper to have a threaded screw on cap. Article quote on page 166. In 1911 a Safety screw cap model was introduced.
Featuring a wide 12.5mm gold filled trim band. Fitted with a new 14 carat gold Swan 2 nib, fine point. A very rare pen nearing 100 years old and a prize collectors piece. Comes with the original red box Swan case.
