| The Salz brothers Jacob, James, and Ignatz were in the Jewellery business, after the first World War they immigrated from Germany re-suming their business in New York, adding to their craft they realised that there were further related opportunities to specialise in making ornate gold and silver filigree overlays for fountain pen manufacturers.
In due time they became established as The Salz Brothers Company and started producing a limited range of their own fountain pens.
Appart from some fewer top quality models and a lesser number made within their better known Peter Pan series, most of the models they produced were of standard type quality. The Peter Pan miniature eye-dropper fountain pen from about 1918 finished with 18 carat gold overlay. A rare classic pen. |
