| A two piece fountain pen and propelling pencil set from the mid 1920s produced in fused black and red vulcanite creating this red ripple pattern.
Clearly a matching Ty Phoo set, although the propelling pencil is not engraved with a manufacturers name or any trade mark.
The bulk of these pens were manufactured by the Thomas De La Rue Company, made to order as proprietary pens for the Ty Phoo Tea Company.
The warranted 14 carat gold nib is a medium point size, spare leads are available for the pencil. This set is housed in a neutral standard cardboard pen box. |
