| The Wahl Company was formed in Illinois in 1905, in 1917 having changed the name to Wahl Eversharp they moved operations to Chicago and started production of fountain pens.
By the 1920s Wahl Eversharp had become the leading manufacturer of pens in the United States.
In late 1931 the art deco style Doric models were introduced.
Produced in celluloid material this fused blend of black and emerald green colouring within the Doric series is called Kashmir Pearl green. An excellent Wahl Doric fountain pen from about 1936. Ink filling is by side lever method a new rubber ink sac has been fitted.
The 14 carat 585 gold Eversharp Flexible medium point size nib is in pristine condition. |
