| The Wahl Company was formed in Illinois in 1905, in 1917 having changed the name to Wahl Eversharp they moved operations to Chicago and started production of fountain pens.
By the 1920s Wahl Eversharp had become the leading manufacturer of pens in the United States.
In late 1931 the art deco style Doric models were introduced.
Produced in celluloid material this fused blend of black with lesser emerald green highlights is a very special colour combination, only one other of this type has been recorded within the Doric series. An excellent Wahl Doric fountain pen from about 1935. Ink filling is by side lever method a new rubber ink sac has been fitted.
