| Stunning Wahl Eversharp Doric fountain pen and propelling pencil set. New and unused although at least 72 years since newly purchased. This set was advertised in October 1934 the advertisement featured the Hollywood Paramount Pictures film star celebrity Claudette Colbert staring in the Paramount newly released premiere film Torch Singer.
This exquisite adjustable point pen alone is a very rare model to find, here are both the fountain pen and the propelling pencil set from 1934 and just as if they were bought yesterday. Exceptionally rare. The center section of the fountain pens barrel is partially transparent.
A beautifully finished set in silver shell web pattern outlined with black candy stripes. The further feature being the fountain pens nib which can be set to either of nine writing settings claimed to provide a range of line thickness from very fine through to broad. The duodecim design of this Wahl Doric set forms a further distinctive feature. Ink filling is by plunger vac method. |
