Waterman 52V fountain pen circa 1928 manufactured in black vulcanite hard rubber material. The quality gold plated boxed design side lever has the Waterman globe emblem engraved on the lifting arm. Ink filling being by side lever method. A new rubber ink sac has been fitted. The trim band on the cap is hallmarked for FDW 9 carat gold. The 14 carat gold Waterman fine point size 2A nib is in perfect condition. This is a clipless model optional detachable pocket clips were offered at retailing shops to fit these pens, available if requested. The manufacturers wording and the Waterman globe emblem engraved on the pens barrel is faint. On the model number the V indicates a short length pen compared to the standard model 52, a pen perhaps designed as more suited for ladies.
