A late 1920s Waterman model 52 Canadian made fountain pen. The model 52 was one of the earliest lever filling pens introduced by Waterman in 1913. Manufactured in black hard rubber material with a chased patterning of waves divided with plain lanes. The Canada made models are less commonly available. Side lever ink filling. The side lever is a boxed type which has the IDEAL globe symbol engraved on it. A new rubber ink sac has been fitted. The engraved manufacturer wording WATERMANS MADE IN CANADA with the IDEAL globe emblem is sharp and clear appearing as if newly engraved. Which is again engraved on the cap. The Waterman IDEAL CANADA fine point gold nib is in pristine condition. An excellent pen. When capped the overall length is 13.6 centimetres. |
