A late 1920s Watermans Ideal model 52 fountain pen, length being 13.4cm. A Clipless model although an optional detachable pocket clip was often fitted on these pens.The machine chased fine pattern on the barrel is faint. Engraved around the end of the barrel is the wording WATERMANS REG U.S PAT OFF MADE IN U.S.A.
Engraved on the barrel is the Watermans Ideal emblem etc. Ink filling is by nickel plated side lever which has the IDEAL Globe emblem on it. The Watermans gold IDEAL nib is engraved further with REG.U.S. This nib is in pristine condition, a new rubber ink sac has been fitted.
