Circa 1912 In black hard rubber material. On the end of the cap the wide trim band is hallmarked 9.375 gold. The ball end gold plated clip has the Watermans World circular emblem engraved on it. Within this emblem the word Ideal is clearly seen.
Further engraved on the clip is the word Clip Cap. Engraved at the end of the barrel is the words Watermans Made in U.S.A. The model number 52 is engraved on the base of the barrel. On the gold filled side lever is the Ideal World globe emblem and engraved on the barrel again is the wording Watermans Ideal.
The nib is in excellent condition 14 carat gold with the wording Watermans Ideal Reg. U.S. Pat. Off. engraved on it, a medium point tip size. A pen of a type which has now become difficult to find in such good condition. Complete with the Waterman's presentation box.
