| An early 1950s Pelikan model 140 fountain pen manufactured in Germany. During the post war years when materials were scarce, gold for the production on pen nibs was not obtainable and many post war models were fitted with iridium pointed steel nibs. The authentic polished steel nib fitted to this pen is in excellent condition having a medium size point. The classic green stripe barrel incorporates alternate green and translucent stripes through which the ink reservoir and movement of the ink filling piston can be seen.
The symbolic design of the Pelikan beak shaped pocket clip being clearly recognisable as one of Germany's quality fountain pens. Clearly engraved round the end part of the pens barrel section is GERMANY PELIKAN 140 GUNTHER WAGNER.
An eye catching classic fountain pen of some 50 or more years and still in excellent condition. |
